Unfortunately Loss for Regional Squad as 3rds Draw in NWKL

The Sabina’s regionals took on Academy last Saturday at our home court in Bromley. Our girls had a slow start to the game ending the second quarter with 22 - 46 to Academy. However as the game progressed our girls were able to find their pace within the match and set up some lovely game plays. Our attack was strong and intense throughout the game, keeping up a good control of the ball and we saw some beautiful goal set ups. It was an energetic game and despite some minor injuries our girls showed their skill and athleticism. There was a 6 goal difference in the third quarter of 9 - 15 and it was clear Sabina had the stamina behind them to take back the game. The last quarter ended with a 2 goal difference of 16 - 18 and an overall score of 47 - 79 to Academy. Despite an unlucky end our girls played a clean game, showing their teamwork and individual talents!
On the 15th of October Sabinas third team took on Beacon, With a steady start our girls kept their composure and played a safe game throughout the match. Despite ending each quarter one goal up from Beacon the final score was 26 - 26, an unfortunate tie for Sabina’s thirds who played a winning game. Our girls made some lovely passages of play throughout the match. They were able to pick up on areas faults and made quick game play changes which proved effective for the rest of the match. Communication between the girls got better as the match progressed and by the final quarter the thirds were able to play with an for instinct for each other. Despite a new team and new players the thirds have set themselves up for a great season. Congratulations to Eleanor for player of the match!❤️🤍🖤✨
